Silica mesh cup investment casting filter

HIGH SILICA FIBERGLASS MESH CUP FILTER

Silica mesh cup filters for Lost wax castings and precision investment castings filtration

Molten metal filter Silica mesh filter cup for investment casting filtration is weaved by high silica fiberglass yarn and treated with special refractory coating. It can effectively remove slag, refractory particles and non‐metallic inclusions from molten metals. 





Made from specially treated silica yarns, the investment casting filter silica mesh cup filters are capable of withstanding pouring temperatures up to 1640℃. The preformed cup filters fit into the pouring cups positioned at the top of the tree mold. Filter cups can easily be removed from the pouring cone prior to the addition of hot topping, so that the filter material does not hamper the feedback of the molten metal. Ceramic filters placed in the base of the pouring cone can impede the metal feedback from the hot‐topping’s exothermic reaction because they can’t be easily removed.
